May's Physical Wellness Challenge!

Although many of us have continued to work during the past month, our typical physical wellness activities may have been disrupted.  Did your gym close?  Did you have to opt for meals that may be less healthy due to food availability and reduced trips to the grocery store?  Has your sleep been disrupted?  There are a multitude of reasons for letting our physical wellness fall to the wayside during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The combination of physical activity, eating healthy, and proper sleep are a sure way to improve our mental health as we begin to return to societal normality.  Fact: exercise reduces anxiety and depression while increasing self-esteem and cognitive function!

May’s challenge is focused on getting back on track with our physical wellness.  Develop a plan that works for YOU and keep in mind that self care also includes taking time to do the things that bring you joy; including hot baths or reading for pleasure is recommended!
