January's Connection Challenge!

Human connection can be considered a determinant of health, fundamental to mental wellbeing. Human connection creates a sense of belonging, can help shape our identities, and staves off loneliness. We are wired to connect with others and form relationships; however, some people seem to build relationships with others easily, while others find it more difficult.

 

For numerous reasons (e.g., shift work, children's activities, housework, location, etc.), it can seem difficult to find time to connect with others. While it may seem like a difficult time-consuming task, building connections with others can be relatively quick and painless in our day-to-day lives.

This month's challenge suggests easy strategies to help build human connection. Whether you attempt one of our weekly connection challenges or choose to focus on simply spending more time with your loved ones, we hope 2020 brings much joy, success, health, and happiness to your life!
