My Well-Being
The My Well-Being webpage was developed to provide information that will help to strengthen and promote mental wellness within our school community. We know that everyone has been impacted in some way by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to challenge you to make mental health and well-being a priority. We are dedicated to helping build upon our collective strengths in an effort to foster the mental health of our community through creating partnerships, engaging in advocacy, and working together to foster mentally healthy workplaces for staff, families, and students.
As we get back into the school year it is important to recognize that many of us have mixed emotions; it is important that we take care of ourselves and one another. Therefore, this month is dedicated to the 3 components of Self- Compassion: self-kindness, mindfulness, and common humanity. As we move through our new reality, offering grace and kindness for self and others will be foundational to your mental wellness and those closest to you. Having self-compassion will allow us to feel more connected to others, furthering our position that “we are all in this together.”
Please take the brief self-assessment below to determine your current level of self-compassion. We then invite you to explore one of the tabs that most suit your needs for more information and resources that will help you build upon your current level of self-compassion, as well as improve your overall mental well-being.
If you or someone you know is feeling mentally unwell it important to seek appropriate help. You can reach out to your school counsellors, search local resources online (visit 211.sk.ca), or speak directly to a healthcare professional (dial 8-1-1).
If the matter is an emergency, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
